The Amazing Journey

Throughout the past week our church hosted ‘The Amazing Journey’ into six primary schools in the Ballymena area. This exhibition of Bible stories from creation, through the Old Testament and on through the life of Christ is coordinated by Peter Lawther and truly is an ‘Amazing Journey’.

Peter presented the Bible stories in a meaningful, relevant way, captivating the minds of the children throughout each session. He was also responsible for directing the efforts of the volunteers as we acted out the parts of many of the biblical characters from Noah to Mary.

After each group of children completed their session they were able to dress up in costumes and taste food from Bible lands. Each child was given a Gospel of John and has the opportunity to request a New Testament.

This looks to be a brilliant way of connecting with a local school -should be done nationwide! By the looks of it, it's rather like a child's version of the widely acclaimed CMJ's Bible Exhibition (I forget its proper name).
I would love to see it come to our church's school....(are they touring??!!!)
